The story of the Shankill is the story of ‘Original Belfast’, and with the city increasingly prioritising local storytelling, we are supporting the Shankill Tourism Collective to maximise their opportunity to proudly tell the story of their area and it’s significant contribution to the city over the years .

In line with regenerative tourism principals, we look forward to maximising the positive socio-economic impact of tourism for Greater Shankill. We will combine trends analysis and international benchmarking with in-depth stakeholder consultation and community-led concept development to put Greater Shankill firmly on the city’s visitor map in the future.

Aligning with the vision and objectives of Ireland’s National Sports Policy 2018-2027, this multi-stakeholder plan will provide a cohesive, strategic and operational framework for the development of sport across Mayo.

Delivered through our ‘Shaping’ strand, we will ensure this Local Sports Plan for Mayo not only sets the strategic vision but is also actionable and owned by the community and partners it is designed to serve. We are looking forward to working in close cooperation with Mayo Sports Partnership as well as various National Governing Bodies, local clubs, communities and partners within and beyond sport across Mayo.

placescape was commissioned by Greater Shankill Partnership to undertake a review of strategic positioning and to develop a new strategic plan to enhance organisational capacity and maximise opportunities for future growth. Greater Shankill Partnership was the first community-based regeneration organisation to be established in Belfast and over the last 30 years has been behind some of the city’s most transformational regeneration initiatives, specifically across education and support for children, young people and their families.

Delivered through our ‘Empowering’ strand, this strategic review and refresh project has been an excellent example of how we work with long established place management organisations to strengthen governance, build financial resilience and offer our fresh perspective on operations, measuring impact and identifying opportunities for future growth.
